On Thursday 30th July 2020 Ann and I took the Mini out for a drive to see what the route that I had planned for our Saturday cycle ride was going to be like.

If was a beautiful warm and sunny day and the route turned out fine. We drove through Toft and Bourne and made our way to Spalding in Linconshire.

The car park in Spalding had an hours maximum time limit so we could not see much of the town not that there was much to see I do believe.

We then decided to take a drive in the area and stopped to eat our sandwiches that we had bought in Spalding. We stopped at a place called Crowland where we had our sandwiches and as we were driving out of the village we saw the amazing Crowland Abbey. Of course we had to stop and have a look. While the main church was closed due to Covid-19 we walked around the Abbey which was really very beautiful as you can see from the photographs below.
